M-1’s Jessie Gibbs receives black belt

M-1 Global’s fighter representing Team Holland and consequently Team World, Jessie Gibbs got the coveted and well-deserved black belt from the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu master Marcos Barbosa who was in Holland to teach some classes at Team Agua, where Gibbs trains.

Jessie is one of the best up-and-coming heavyweights in the M-1 Global’s stable. Amassing an overall record of 9 wins with only 2 losses this young Dutchman was victorious against Russia Legion’s powerhouse Akhmed Sultanov and UFC veteran Denis Stojnic. Five of his nine victories came by way of submission.

In his last fight at M-1 Breakthrough 1 Jessie Gibbs outpointed one of the best British heavyweights in Rob Broughton.
