On March 27, studio 11 in Weesp will be the venue for the M-1 Selection opening round in the LHW and HW category. Besides the tournament fights there will be several superfights.

M-1 Selection tournament light heavyweight matches 205lbs
1. Tomasz Narkun, Poland (1-1)                  vs       Deji Kalejaiye, Germany (1-0)
Tomasz Narkun trains together with Gegard Mousasi and is ready to follow his footsteps. Originally from Poland Tomasz now trains full time in Holland.
2. Timo Karttunen, Finland (0-0)                  vs       Johan Romming, France (8-1)
Timo Karttunen will make his pro debut against the more experienced French fighter Romming. Romming who is an experienced grappler with knockout power in his fists is ready to take the next step.
3. Davit Tkeshelashvili, Ukraine (1-1)                      vs       Haik Soukiasian, Holland (3-1)
Haik Soukiasian will take on the experienced Sambo fighter Davit Tkeshelashvili. Davit has fought under the M-1 flag in Ukraine and he will show the world that he’s one of the favorites to win the Selections. Haik maybe the underdog but is dangerous on his feet and will try to KO the Ukraine fighter
4. Hrac Darpinyan, Armenia (1-1)                vs       Rody Troost, Holland (1-0)
The last fight in the LHW category is between two Dutch fighters. Troost who is an A-class kickboxer will take on Dutch Armenian Hrac Darpinyan. Hrac is a student of Dutch MMA legend Bob Schreiber and is well known for his strength and tremendous stamina.
M-1 Superfight
5. (145lbs) Cindy Dandois, Belgium (2-0)     vs       Dariya Ibragimova, Ukraine (2-0)
Also one of M-1′ best female fighters will return to the ring. After her wins over MMA veteran Marloes Coenen and her devastating TKO victory over Maria Hougaard last February Cindy ‘the battlecat’ Dandois will take on Ukraine’s finest Dariya Ibragimova.

6. Dawid Baziak, Germany (6-1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â vs Borislav Iglev, Bulgaria (0-0)
In the heavyweight tournament Dawid Baziak will take on Bulgarian Sambo fighter Borislav Iglev. Baziak is an aggressive fighter and only one of his fights ever went the full distance.
7. Guram Gugenishvil, Ukraine (2-0)            vs       Jur Dekker, Holland (2-0)
Gugenishvil is a sambo champ who will take on the 120 kg Jur Dekker form the well known ‘Team Schreiber’.
8. Stas Romanov, Holland (2-1)                                vs       Nils van Noord, Holland (1-4)
Stas Romanov, a fighter from the North of Holland will take on local boy Nils van Noord. Van Noord, who fought several times in the M-1 challenge is well known for his crazy ring entrance, performance and big fighting heart and is ready to prove the world his record doesn’t do him justice!
9. Arya Hosseni, Holland (2-0)                                  vs       Drazen Forgac, Croatia (5-4)
Figting out of Zagreb, Drazen Forgac will take on the undefeated Arya Hosseni.
M-1 Superfights
10. (170lbs) Fatih Dogan, Turkey (2-5)                     vs       Kuku Victor, Holland (5-4-1)
The second superfight will be between Fatih Dogan and Kuku Victor. Both fighters won their last fights on TKO in the M-1 selection in February and are eager to do this again. This fights promises a spectacle and probably will not go the distance!
12. (185lbs) Nathan Schouteren, Holland       vs       Robert Jocz, Poland
Nathan ‘the Satan’ Schouteren (16-8-2) who is a pro mma fighter since 2000 and has wins over Siyar Bahadurzada, Lars Bersand and David Haagsma won 4 out of his last 5 fights and is working hard on an impressive winning streak. He will give 110% for his home audience! Robert ‘Beast of the East’ Jocz who recently beat M-1 veteran Mikhail Zayats by KO is fighting since 2005 and beat big names like Murad Chunkaiev, Dave Dalgliesh, Dion Staring and Jordan Radev. He only lost once on Dutch soil against Siyar Bahadurzada, will Nathan be the next to beat him?!
