Tune into HDNet Friday at 8 p.m. ET as Janne Tulirinta looks to improve to 12-3 when he faces Ivan Ivanov.
In a talent-laden competition filled with fight prospects flying under the radar within the American MMA mainstream, few fighters in the M-1 Challenge may be more gifted than Team Finland welterweight Janne Tulirinta.
American mixed martial arts fans will be able to see Tulirinta up close and personal this Friday at 8 p.m. on HDNet when the latest episode of the “M-1 CHALLENGE PRESENTED BY AFFLICTION” premieres.
Tulirinta led his Team Finland teammates in a best-of-five series against Group C rival Team Bulgaria in Seoul, South Korea. On the heels of a three-fight win streak, Tulirinta will attempt to improve to 12-3 in his professional MMA career when he takes on Bulgaria’s Ivan Ivanov.
Tulirinta, known for being a submission specialist, showed tremendous progress in his standup after recording a standing 11-second TKO win against professional Muay Thai fighter Anthony Ford during Team Finland’s best-of-five series vs. USA East this past June in Kansas City.
In addition to Tulirinta, viewers tuning in to watch the M-1 Challenge this Friday night will also get to witness rising Finnish light heavyweight prospect Marcus Vanttinen in action. With a 9-2 record, Vanttinen will look to record the tenth victory of his pro career when he clashes with Emil Samoilov of Bulgaria.
