In a country known for his legendary kickboxers, 16-year prodigy Jeronimo de Groot has the potential to go down as one of Holland’s all-time greats.
After winning his first title at age 14, de Groot’s remarkable progression has allowed him to compete against grown men despite still being only a teenager.
De Groot now trains at the official M-1 Global training center in Amsterdam, Holland as he prepares for her conversion to mixed martial arts. However, the youngster has not abandoned kickboxing and has been added to this weekend’s upcoming M-1 Challenge event at Studio 22 in Hilversum, Holland.
De Groot will compete in a “Superfight” against Sascha Valentic during Saturday’s two-day M-1 Challenge “mega-taping.”
Below is a recent interview de Groot conducted with M-1Global.com’s Fabrice Deters at the M-1 Training Center.
