Despite his repeated string of negative comments towards WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko, UFC President Dana White heavyweight champion still has aspirations of bringing the former PRIDE champion to the Octagon.

“This whole Fedor thing that has been going on, and on, and on,” White said during a post-UFC 100 press conference. “I keep saying this and that about him, and he keeps waiting.

“Eventually Fedor’s going to be here. I want Fedor. I want him to come to the UFC.”

Published reports indicate that Fedor has one fight left on his contract with Affliction. Despite Fedor’s impending free agency and White’s belief that Fedor signing with the UFC is inevitable, a contract signing with a promotion other than Affliction is not imminent. Despite that fact, White is already making plans for Fedor.

“We’ll get that deal done, and then it will be Brock (Lesnar) vs. Fedor, and it will be a huge fight,” stated White.
