Officials from the Fighter Entertainment Group have revealed the complete lineup for Tuesday’s DREAM.9 event, which is set to take place in Yokohama, Japan on Tuesday, May 26. The event will be broadcast live in the U.S. starting at 5 a.m. ET by M-1 Challenge official broadcast partner HDNet.
The event will feature the first round of DREAM’s new “Super Hulk” tournament as well as the start to the second round of its featherweight Grand Prix, featuring the long-awaited return of Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto.
Yamamoto will be facing a stiff test in Joe Warren, a former amateur wrestling standout who was impressive in the first round. Additionally, the card will also feature a fight rematch between Jason “Mayhem” Miller and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza for the vacant DREAM middleweight title formerly held by M-1′s Gegard Mousasi.
Mousasi relinquished the title in order to pursue greatness in a heavier weight class. He will be skipping the light heavyweight division and advance directly to the super heavyweight division when he squares off against former PRIDE and K-1 standout Mark Hunt in the first round of the “Super Hulk” tournament.
In addition to Mousasi and Hunt, Bob Sapp, former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco, Hong Man Choi, and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou are slated to compete as well.
