Sao Paulo, Brazil – The “M-1 Challenge Presented by Affliction” is set to promote its first-ever event in Brazil on Saturday, May 9. In anticipation of the event, 30 fighters representing teams from six different countries gathered at the luxorious Esporte Clube Sirio in Sau Paulo. With the exception of Brazilian welterweight Eduardo Pamplona, every since fighter made weight for the event.
As of press time, Pamplona was still in the process of meeting his contracted weight obligations of 167.2 lbs./-76 kg for his fight tomorrow night vs. Team Imperial’s Erik Oganov.
